Titan World Series arrives in Mexico
12 de December de 2025The natural surroundings of Bayacora Park, in the Durango region, hosted the official signing ceremony for the first Titan World Series event in Mexico: the Durango Titan Desert Mexico.
The event was attended by institutional representatives from the region, such as Dr. Esteban Alejandro Villegas Villarreal, Governor of the State; José Antonio Ochoa Rodríguez, Municipal President of Durango; Elisa María Haro Ruiz, Secretary of Tourism for the State of Durango; César Cárdenas, Director of the State Sports Institute; Fernando Rosas Palafox, Secretary of Economic Development for the State of Durango; and Jesús García Fernández, CEO of Titan World Series.
The event served as the starting point for the announcement of the race, which is coming to Mexico for the first time and will hold its first edition in the second half of 2026.
The Durango Titan Desert México thus joins the other four races in the Titan World Series universe that currently take place annually: the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco, the Škoda Titan Desert Almería, the Titan Desert Saudi Arabia, and the Titan Forest Patagonia.
It will be the third race of its kind to be held on the American continent, following the one currently taking place in Chile and the one held in Cuba: the Titan Tropic, in 2015 and 2016.

Throughout four stages, each between 90 and 110 kilometers long, the Durango Titan Desert Mexico will explore every corner of the Durango region, from its legendary deserts to its impressive forests.
The race will feature the elements that make Titan World Series races unique and turn them into much more than just a mountain bike race: the camp, the camaraderie between professionals and amateurs, and adventure as an integral part of the experience.
With its arrival in Mexico, the Titan World Series consolidates its international growth and its position as the world’s premier cycling and adventure circuit, with a presence on three continents and in settings as diverse as the deserts of Morocco and Tabernas, the forests of Patagonia, the Arabian Peninsula, and now the mountains of Durango.
This is yet another way to consolidate Durango as one of the world’s leading sporting and tourist destinations, which will have an economic impact on local communities in the region and, as Titan World Series events always do, promote sport and cycling in the area.
According to Jesús García, CEO of Titan World Series, coming to Durango is “a historic milestone in the more than two decades” that these races have been held. “Not only does it allow us to consolidate the expansion and internationalization of our brand, but it will also offer an unparalleled experience to all participants who come to Durango for the race.”
“I would like to thank the authorities in Durango for placing their trust in and commitment to this project. It has been a joint effort made possible by the desire for understanding and the love of sport that both they and we share,” he added.
